NVIDIA RTX 3090 vs AMD Radeon™ RX 6900xt Graphics Cards

Over 1 month ago I purchased a RTX3080 Well I paid for it. Only to be put on a list. A few days ago I got sick of waiting and cancelled the order and got a refund. So glad I did. For the same money I can buy the RX6900xt That has performance the same or better in some games for half the price of the RTX3090. The same price as the RTX3080. So glad I decided to wait. I can still use my RTX2080 super to play Counter Strike in another machine

    Good call!
3080 cards in Russia cost a fortune, at least 30% more expensive than the recommended price.
I cannot understand why this happens, either Nvidia is not controlling the Russian office, or lax Russian laws.
Anyway, my wallet decides, I am also running an AMD card now and so far enjoying myself.

Its too soon to say if AMD GPU is really that good. Until real product is benchmarked by others.

MrNugget, new 3000 series from nvidia is overpriced everywhere. Bots bought it up when it went on sale and now selling it for double or more. May happen with AMD cards if AMD doesnt control it.

    Bumping this thread.

With crypto skyrocketing how you guys doing in terms of new graphics cards?
My buddy told me to wait and not to buy 20.. series because he said 30.. series will be out soon and they will be better.

    So I waited and now I can't find 20.. and 30..

Stuck with an old 4GB Radeon cards.

Btw, did you guys hear of this new crypto that uses hard drives lol?

Finding a 20 or 30 GPU on it's own currently in the UK is a nightmare.

But companies like Gladiator and suchlike will build you a complete new PC with a 20 or 30 Nvidia GPU and deliver it within 5 days...it's like these companies have bought up all the stock.

For what it's worth I just bought a new PC with a 2080 in it as I know the wait for the 3000 range cards would be a nightmare....You can play all current games on full HDR and use Raytracing with this quality of card.....

I'll think about swapping it in 12 - 18 months when the market settles....
