[resolved] status/5tatus command bug :: suggested workaround
A bug currently exists in the status/5tatus command (which we run after starting a demo to show the server signature and player list in the console during the demo recording).
The bug presents with an error message just after the output of the status/5tatus command "Netchannel: failed reading message svc_Print from {server-ip-port}"....

This causes the demo playback to crash the CSS game at the point of that error message, so demo playback will not show full evidence of the ban reason and will not show the status/5tatus command output.
The bug seems to occur when the server is quite populated: for instance, on dust2 this morning, and when there were 11 human players, the bug was not evident. The output of status/5tatus did not show the error and a demo recorded and played back jsut fine. But when I returned after human players increased to 18 players, the bug was there.
My suggested workaround, until it may be fixed is as follows:
Start the demo and run the status/5tatus command, check the output in the console and if you see the error at the end of the command's output: "Netchannel: failed reading message svc_Print from {server-ip-port}" then stop the demo recording. If the error is not shown then the demo will be fine, just continue as you normally would.
So after you have seen the error, start the demo again and record the evidence for the ban reason (but do not run the status/5tatus command), once you are confident that you have enough evidence then run the status/5tatus command. If the error is still there at the end of the command's output then screenshot the console output. This is where demo playback will crash the game, but your screenshot will evidence the command was run and the resulting output.
Upload the demo AND the screenshot into the ban system when making the ban entry (you can include a screenshot together with a demo while adding the ban)....
