Apparently smoke hack isn´t´a thing anymore either. Atleast the version I know of (with a certain console command).

Nothing has changed here. I just worked out a fix for Steam's breaking of the Previous Build, I was the first person to do that and release that into the Steam community as well. To put that in perspective: you know that when you run a Windows update (for example), if the update fails the operating system rolls back to the previous build and oyu continue to use Windows as it was last working. Imagine Windows broke the previous build as well and now your OS is no longer usable. That is what Steam did.

Also, the current update is not working on community servers, and those who have applied it are experiencing many issues and glitches (see the replies to the announcement in your steam library page for CSS, all 50+ pages of complaints and more complaints). Also, they broke sourcemod, which is as old as the game itself, without that no ranking or premium would work here. And this is not just CSS, they broke TF2 and HL2MP as well.

When they release the necessary fixes, Saigns will run the updates.

I´m also running Linux, and did everything that was in post Nr. 33. Instead of .exe, I did .sh.

I just checked, and I renamed HL2_sh in cstrike_win64_sh. That might be a problem because I don´t think a datei named win_64 should be on a linux sytem.

So I renamed HL2_sh in cstrike_sh , but it still doesn´t work :(

After I enabled previous build, I didn´t see that a short update was made.

I get this error:

Zentiac did according to that post, we'll have to wait for them to come back unless someone else can advise.
